About me
Somaye Zakeri
I'm a visual artist. My major fields of study and practice have been painting, especially Miniatur painting, but I generally enjoy creative art. Examples include working on ceramics, fashion design, accessories, texture design, and embroidery. I'm a storyteller who uses colors to make and share stories. The stories I tell are blended in forms, colors, and scenes. Everyone can read them differently, and that's the beauty of art: It provides millions of perspectives for the world.
Miniature
I became engaged and fascinated with traditional Persian Miniature painting during my Bachelor's studies at Tehran University, College of Fine Arts. Inspired by it, I created my own modernized style of Miniature.
Ceramics
I use ceramics as raw material to create sculptured paintings. It gives new possibilities for creating different visual patterns in a scene, resulting in eye-catching pieces of art.
Creative Art
From a young age, I was interested in using my creativity in my daily life, wearing clothes and accessories that not only reflect my personality but also inspire others through my art. That desire took me deeper into the world of creative art.
My Inspiration
Welcome to my world
My inspirations are mostly spiritual. I believe in an ultimate creator of all beauty and love in the world, and that his power of creation resides in all of us. I love nature, and its elements are present in most of my collections. The beauty of nature can be reflected in our eyes, becoming a window through which we see the world. This everlasting connection brings love and compassion into the world.

Harmonized beauty
Art is the highest form of harmony between the worlds inside and outside of us. It's the reflection of how we see the world and how the world lives in us with its harmonized beauty. Each piece of art is an invitation to an imaginary world, which is real in essence, as it takes the viewer beyond the imagination of its creator.

FASHION DESIGN
Collections
I became familiar with the world of fashion through my sister who is a fashion designer. It's a different world than painting, but still requires the same artistic taste and creativity. We design and prepare our own collections of clothes, accessories, texture design with painting and embroidery from the very first step of ideation and mood board to the execution.
