Miniature Painting

My Miniature paintings are mostly inspired by ancient Persian stories from Ferdowsi's Shahnameh and Nizami's Haft Peykar. I read the stories and then paint them, letting my imagination flow. The main characteristics of traditional Persian Miniature, including perspective avoidance, the use of bright colors, and telling the story through calligraphy in the painting, have been kept in my work. However, I use different geometrical frames for each part of the story. In this way, various parts of the story are blended in one scene, separated through those frames. This is the main difference between my style of Miniature and the traditional Persian Miniature, which includes no frame. These frames add elements of modernization to this type of painting while still preserving its soul.

"Pardaz", as the final, meticulous rendering technique in traditional Persian Miniature, has been maintained in my work. Nevertheless, I create new textures that haven't been used traditionally.
